The short version: we don’t sell your data, we barely collect any, and we’re a journalism outfit that calls out data shenanigans — so we’re not about to pull them ourselves.
If you fill out the Join form or send a Consumer Voice submission, we get the name, email, and message you choose to give us. That’s it. We don’t track you around the internet, we don’t build a profile on you, and we don’t run ad networks.
If we’ve turned on analytics, it’s a privacy-first tool (no cookies, no personal identifiers) that tells us aggregate things like “200 people read the Newsroom this week” — never who you are.
One thing: a small flag that remembers you confirmed you’re of legal age, so we don’t ask every visit. It lives in your browser, not on our servers. Clear it any time by clearing your site data.
To talk to you — to reply, to follow up if you asked to be involved, to run the Collective. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to data brokers. Ever.
Your message lands in our email inbox (hosted by a standard email provider). Aggregate analytics, if enabled, sit with a privacy-first analytics provider. No one buys access to you from us.
Want to see what we have on you, change it, or have us delete it? Email josh@weedwiki.ca and we’ll handle it. No hoops.
We’re building this to be the source you trust. That trust dies the second we get cute with your information. So we keep it simple, we keep it minimal, and if this policy ever changes we’ll say so in plain language — not a 40-page update at 2 a.m.
Questions? josh@weedwiki.ca — a real human reads it.
